Hi! My name is Elena. I'm a freelance
Words that do a job
Dreaming of working for the American literary department of the most prestigious Italian publishing house, I studied Foreign Languages for Publishing at Verona University and then got my Master's in Publishing in 2018.
That same spring, I landed an internship as a content writer in Berlin, and in the summer I received my first freelance projects: a young Pakistani man needed his biography turned into a real book, an Italian indie author needed his historical novel revised, and a German agency entrusted me with my very first marketing translation.
Today, I still work with books, but that's only part of the story.
Today, I take Italian language and make it work… whether that's a brand speaking to Italian customers, or Italian-speaking indie authors getting their book into the world.
Today, I’m an Italian-language professional based in Nuremberg, offering translation, localisation, copywriting, editorial, and publishing services.
Simplicity
I like to keep things relaxed and easy. No unnecessary pressure, no overcomplication, but rather easy conversations, light emails and a genuine collaboration.
Helpfulness
My promise is simple: I’ll always do my best for you. Contributing to the success of my clients genuinely makes me happy. That means fair, transparent pricing that already includes all that the project needs, revisions too.
Commitment
I care about who this work is for, and I want to contribute to something worthwhile. I’m most fulfilled when the end result feels positive, sustainable (but for real) and meaningful to the people who experience it.
Trust
I’ll ask questions, share doubts, and explore ideas with you. But give me the space to find the best approach for your project, and I’ll reward that trust with results that truly deliver.
My philosophy
"But I find that for myself, without exception, the more I deal with the work as something that is my own, as something that is personal, the more successful it is."

Who do I work with
I work with people who have something real to say but lack the tools to say it to the world.
Like Mujo. He wrote a biography about his escape from Pakistan at only 21 years of age but he lacked the skills to turn a Word document into a real book. We worked on it together: layout, cover, print-ready files, instructions to order his first copies. When he came back for the second book and shipped me a signed copy with a dedication, I thought: I must have done something right.
Years later, Alessio came with a hundred pages of research and his own life experience about holistic medicine. I'll be honest: I had my hesitations. But he was open, he listened, he never got defensive. We cut, reorganized, smoothed. When it came together, I was proud of what it became and a little surprised that I was. The thread was there. It just needed someone to find it and pull it taut.
Two different projects. Two people who knew what they wanted to say. That's who I work with.
