\n\t\tWords that do a job and have an impact\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\tMy name is Elena and I work with the Italian language for authors and brands. The core of what I do is this: I take Italian language and make it work\u2026 whether that's a brand speaking to Italian customers, or an author getting their book into the world.\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

I dreamed of working for the American literary department of the most prestigious Italian publishing house. So I studied languages and publishing at Verona University, then got my Master's in Publishing.<\/p>

In 2018 I started getting hands-on experience in the industry: an internship for an independent publishing house; a content writer position in Berlin for an online magazine. Later, a 1-year-long collaboration with a literary agency.<\/p>

Along the way, I learned a solid framework but also what I believe in: working with authors and brands who take their words seriously. That's what led me to repurpose my skills and dive into the translation world and editorial services alongside brands as intentional about their words and their impact as I am about mine.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\tWho do I work with\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\tI work with people who have something real to say but lack the tools to say it to the world.\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

\u00a0Like Mujo. He wrote a biography about his escape from Pakistan at only 21 years of age but he lacked the skills to turn a Word document into a real book. We worked on it together: layout, cover, print-ready files, instructions to order his first copies. When he came back for the second book and shipped me a signed copy with a dedication, I thought: I must have done something right.<\/p>

Years later, Alessio came with a hundred pages of research and his own life experience about holistic medicine. I'll be honest: I had my hesitations. But he was open, he listened, he never got defensive. We cut, reorganized, smoothed. When it came together, I was proud of what it became and a little surprised that I was. The thread was there. It just needed someone to find it and pull it taut.<\/p>
